Driving the Changing Places campaign forward

There are currently only 50 venues throughout the whole of the UK which provide a Changing Places toilet. Currently no airports, train stations or motorway service stations have a Changing Places toilet, which means that travelling further than a short distance from home is virtually impossible for thousands of families.

The Changing Places consortium is determined to change this and you can help. We would like as many people as possible to write to their nearest airport, train or bus station to ask them to consider installing a Changing Places toilet. Or perhaps there is a regular journey you take and it would make all the difference if a motorway service station had a Changing Places toilet – let’s tell them about it.

You can use our new template letter to write to transport providers to tell them about the Changing Places campaign. We have listed the best way to find out who to write to about your bus or train station, airport or motorway service station at the bottom of the page.

Margaret and Julie have kindly agreed to share their story about their experiences at UK airports which you can send with your letter to really bring the issue to life. Or you could write your own story about using local facilities which don’t meet your needs.

You can also order campaigns leaflets and download the Changing Places local campaign pack to help you to campaign. Please let us know about your campaigning.
