Help us spread the word about Changing Places toilets

   

Due to the campaigning and hard work of consortium members PAMIS, the first Changing Places toilet at an IKEA store is now open. Prior to the opening the manager of the IKEA store in Edinburgh attended an event in Parliament hosted by PAMIS to launch the British Standard and also attended the opening of another Changing Places facility in Perth.

Work has started on a new city centre toilet facility which will help meet the specialised needs of people with profound and multiple learning disabilities.

A new Changing Places toilet has opened in Morecambe. The refurbishment of existing toilets was carried out by Danfo and was funded by Lancaster City Council and Lancashire County Council's Aiming Higher for Disabled Children Fund.

We are delighted to announce that following discussions between the Changing Places consortium and the UK's largest motorway services operator Moto Hospitality Ltd, a Changing Places toilet based on current standards is included in the rebuilding programme for Cherwell Valley Services amenity building.
