Photo of Martin Jackaman Martin Jackaman has beeen nominated for Council Worker of the year for his relentless drive and persistence in developing "Changing Place" toilets in Nottingham, transforming the lives of people with profound and multiple learning disabilities and their carers.

Using his experience, knowledge, networking skills, humour and enthusiasm he went on a mission to directly improve peoples lives. Nottingham's "Changing Place Toilet" opened in July 2006 and immediately gained a 5 star "Loo of the Year Award".

If Martin wins this prestigious award he will be able to tell all councils across the country about the need for Changing Places toilets and call on them to take action in their local area.
