Wembley Stadium hosts Disability Equality Seminar
05 February 2008
We are campaigning for Changing Places toilets to be installed in football grounds to ensure that people with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and other people who need these facilities can be fully included.
Wembley Stadium recently hosted a Disability Equality Seminar which saw representatives of The FA, Wembley National Stadium Limited, the Premier League, Football League and Football Conference meet with football fans from across the country to share personal experiences and identify ways in which disabled supporters can be better supported in the future.
The event was co-ordinated by the National Association of Disabled Supporters (NADS), a supporter of the Changing Places campaign. NADS was formed in 1998 and is an umbrella organisation that represents all disabled fans. Its main aims are to campaign for equality of supporters experience and to be a voice for all supporters with a disability.
