Nottingham City Council short listed for Community Care Award

Community care logoNottingham City Council has been short listed for a prestigious Community Care Award.

The Community Care Awards 2006 will highlight and reward good practice and innovative ways of working, and will be awarded to projects or teams that are really making a positive difference to the lives of service users.

The team responsible for the Changing Places toilet in Nottingham city centre, led by Martin Jackaman, are one of three teams short listed for the Carers award. There’s a lot at stake – up to £15,000 in prize money for the overall winning team.

The winners will be announced at an exclusive invite-only awards ceremony in London on Thursday 14th December 2006.

Nottingham's Changing Places toilet is located on Greyhound Street in Market Square, in the heart of the city centre.
