Morecambe Festival Market

A new Changing Places toilet has opened in Morecambe. The refurbishment of existing toilets was carried out by Danfo and was funded by Lancaster City Council and Lancashire County Council's Aiming Higher for Disabled Children Fund.
Councillor Jon Barry said: “Families visiting Morecambe and the market will now be able to change the person they care for in a clean and safe environment and not need to limit outings to a few short hours, or not go out at all."

The centre is located a short distance from the market at the Station Buildings, Marine Road Central (next to the Platform). See location map for more details.

County Councillor Keith Iddon added: "Visiting a seaside town and browsing round a market are great features of British life and everyone should have the same opportunity to enjoy it. I am very pleased that some of our Aiming Higher for Disabled Children Fund has supported this excellent project which will make life much easier for disabled children, adults and their carers."

Congratulations to all involved from the Changing Places consortium.
