Celebrating 20 Years of Campaigning for Changing Places Toilets

Last year, we celebrated 20 years of the Changing Places Toilet Consortium. This year, we are proud to mark another significant milestone – 20 years of campaigning for Changing Places Toilets across the UK.

 

What began as a movement driven by disabled people, families, carers and supporters who understood the urgent need for adequate toilet facilities has grown into a powerful force for change, helping to improve accessibility and transform lives across the country.

 

Over the last two decades, countless individuals and organisations have worked tirelessly to raise awareness, share lived experiences, influence decision-makers and encourage venues to provide facilities that enable disabled people to participate more fully in everyday life. Every conversation, consultation, meeting and success story has helped move the campaign forward.
