New Changing Places Map Launch

New Changing Places Map Launch

On World Toilet Day last week we took the opportunity to launch the new Changing Places toilet map www.changingplacesmap.org.uk
We were delighted with the many responses we have had from people who are using the map to find their nearest Changing Places toilet or using the new “Plan a journey” facility.

We would like to thank our wonderful Changing Places campaigners who made sure that the launch was a great success. Campaigners were featured in local and national press across the UK and our presence on social media was amazing with great conversations on facebook and almost a million potential impressions on twitter.

One detailed review stated its overall first impressions as:
“A much improved web site experience which is easy to use and clear to understand.”

Consortium members Pamis celebrated with a week of events to raise awareness of the need for more Changing Places across the UK. On World Toilet Day members of Pamis attended the official opening of the new facility at the Galashiels Interchange here: http://changingplaces.uktoiletmap.org/toilet/view/785

We also had a great deal of media coverage from trade magazines and in the local press, some of which are linked to below.

The campaign has been given a real boost as we approach 800 registered toilets across the UK. We continue to work closely with our campaign sponsors Aveso and will have some great new Changing Places toilets registered over the coming months so watch this space.

The Changing Places map was funded by the Department of Communities and Local Government and built in partnership between the British Toilet Association and the Changing Places consortium.
